During pregnancy, there are certain symptoms that may occur which vary among individuals :
bleeding spots due to the attachment of embryo into the uterine wall
Regarding the nausea that you may experience during the 5-week pregnancy, nausea during the first trimester of pregnancy normally occurs due to hormonal changes of the pregnant women. Nausea and vomiting generally take place in the morning so it is often known as morning sickness. This may also result in the decrease of the mother’s appetite. However, this symptom will decrease in the second trimester when the body begins to adapt to these changes.
Some tips that may be applied by pregnant women to reduce the symptoms are as follows :
The dangerous thing is when the mother is experiencing a condition called hyperemesis gravidarum. Hyperemesis gravidarum itself is severe nausea and vomiting symptoms during pregnancy that can cause lack of fluids, weight loss, or electrolyte disturbances that interfere with daily activities and harm the fetus in the womb. HG generally occurs at Week 6-12 of pregnancy, which may continue to Week 16-20 of pregnancy.
Try the steps listed above. If they do not really help, the mother should consult the Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology to get the drugs that can reduce the nausea symptom.
